In My Own Words:
While on a mandatory "vacation", Peter meets Isabelle, a tough attorney that works for her uncle.  Isabelle comes face to face with her worst nightmare, her cousin, and decides to take matters in to her own hands. She asks her friend, Vic, to help her.  Vic calls Peter who is in the area on "vacation" and Peter is more than willing to help, something to do besides lunch with the mother and sitting in the house.  The connection between Peter and Isabelle is almost instant.  When her cousin turns up dead, she is of course the prime suspect.  When the FBI asks for her help in infiltrating the group that her cousin co-owned, she sees a way to clear herself.  No way will Peter let her go alone, and no way with Vic let Peter not have backup.  With the trio headed to parts unknown, Peter begins to feel things he didn't know he could, and decides once and for all that he will do whatever it takes to keep Isabelle safe and make her his.  Now...to get Isabelle on to that plan.

Review:
This is the 3rd book in the Private Protectors book, and I am really liking this series.  The characters seem so...real.  I felt a connection to Isabelle right off, and was very happy to see her paired with Peter.  A hard nosed ex SEAL that had a secret home life of his own.  The cult setting was creepy and you felt an instant hatred for the leader.  The secondary characters were great, of course we caught up with Vic a little, and meeting Courtney was a kick.  A girl with a chip on shoulder and a wicked tongue.  I hope this series continues, I can't wait to see what the author has in store for the Protectors.

You know when innocent sex starts to feel like something more, and you are the no attachments kind of guy, that you should cut your losses and RUN.  But, what happens when your sex partner is your best friends sister and a widow with 3 kids?  When a mission to kill the bad guys ends with a pissed off bad-guy-brother, Vic scrambles to figure out the angle in which retribution will come.  When he is seen helping Gina take her sick daughter home, the bad guy thinks they are a couple and this is the best way to get back at Vic, by tormenting those he loves.  With him trying to explore feelings he didn't know he had in him, plus trying to protect Gina and the kids, PLUS trying to find the bad guy....is it all to much for the no roots guy to handle?

Review:
This is the second book in the Private Protectors book.  I really loved Vic and Gina.  This book had so much attached to it.  You had the family dynamics of a widow trying to reclaim her life, plus her kids not sure how to handle a new man coming around.  Then Gina and Michael's brother/sister relationship.  Plus the "men" on the team that were the bodyguards...all smart asses with a heart of gold.  I felt so many emotions while reading this book.  At one point, during a rescue scene (trying not to give to much away), the rescue goes wrong and I was DEVASTATED.  I felt for the team, Vic and Lily.  I was REALLY mad at the author, and I honestly said "how could she do this to me?"  THAT, is the mark of a good book.  You are so involved with the characters and their lives, that you feel like you are part of it.  I loved the "Man Laws" at the beginning of each chapter.  There was a lot of action, lots of love and tons of entertainment.
